Angelo Lambs Higher,
Steers Move Lower
SAN ANGELO Feeder lambs sold $2-3 higher this
week, slaughter lambs steady to $2 higher, slaughter ewes
$2-4 higher. Trade was active and demand good. The supply
included 50 percent slaughter ewes, 15 percent feeder
lambs, five percent slaughter lambs and 30 percent goats.
Receipts totaled 12,621 head.
Feeder steers sold steady to $1 lower last week,
heifers steady, slaughter cows and bulls $1 higher, stock
cows and pairs steady to slightly higher. Receipts
totaled 3260 head.
Feeder lambs: medium and large 1-2 40-90 lbs. $88-97,
medium and large No. 2 40-90 lbs. $77-87.
Slaughter lambs: choice 2-3 newcrop 95-120 lbs.
$95-99; good and choice 2-4 slaughter ewes $32-40,
utility and good 1-3 $37-47.50, cull and utility 1-2
$21-31.50; bucks, $35-45. Goats: slaughter billy and
wether meat goats 100-150 lbs. $70-102.50 per head,
150-225 lbs. $110-210; nannies, 70-110 lbs. $42-52 cwt.,
thin 60-90 lbs. $32-42, choice 35-100 lb. kids and
