COLORADO CITY —(June 20)— Feeder steers and heifers sold $2-4 lower, slaughter cows and bulls steady, bred stock cows and pairs weak in a light trade. Receipts totaled 800 head. Feeder steers: medium and large No. 1 200-300 lbs. $105-115, 500-600 lbs. $74-79.50, 600-700 lbs. $68.50-74.75. Feeder heifers: medium and large No. 1 300-400 lbs. $74-79, 500-600 lbs. $66-71.25, 600-700 lbs. $64-68. Slaughter cows: high cutter and boning utility 1-3 $34-38, high dressing $38-41.75, cutter 1-3 $30-34, canner and low cutter $22.50-30; yield grade 1-2 bulls 1400-2000 lbs. $47.50-50.75, low yielding 1050-1350 lbs. $40.50-44. Stock cows: medium and large 1-2 young 1050-1200 lbs., 5-7 months bred $415-440 per head, few aged 1100 lbs. three months bred $375; medium and large 1-2 young 950-1100 lb. cows with 100-200 lb. calves $555-600 per pair, aged 900-1100 lb. cows with 100-200 lb. calves $430-550. |
