Mason Feeders Mixed
Feeder steers and heifers sold mostly steady last week
in Mason, Brownwood and San Saba except weights over 600
pounds $1-4 higher, slaughter cows $1-3 higher, bulls
$2-3 higher, stock cows steady to strong. Receipts
totaled 1963 head at the three sales.
Feeder steers: 150-300 lbs. $99-108, 300-400 lbs.
$87-96, 400-500 lbs. $82-91, 500-600 lbs. $77-84.50,
600-700 lbs. $78-82.50, 700-900 lbs. $64-73.
Feeder heifers: 150-300 lbs. $85-97, 300-400 lbs.
$76-88, 400-500 lbs. $74-82, 500-600 lbs. $68-76, 600-700
lbs. $61-69.50, 700-900 lbs. $58-67; replacements $77-85.
Slaughter cows: all grades $30-39; bulls $44-53.50;
bred stock cows $375-480 per head; cows with calves
$430-655 per pair.
