Ty Jones Cattle Co., Canyon, bought in West Texas for current delivery 650 No. 1 Okie and crossbred steers weighing 625 pounds at $75; in the Texas Panhandle 140 similar steers weighing 750 at $70; in North Texas 225 No. 1 English and exotic heifers weighing 675 at $66.

Vann-Roach Cattle Co., Fort Worth, bought in Oklahoma for current delivery two loads of No. 1 Okie steers weighing 725 pounds at $71.25, also two loads of similar steers weighing 800 at $70.

JB Cattle Co., Abilene, sold on a delivered basis to Kansas buyers one load of Okie steers and bulls weighing 460 pounds at $78.18, also one load of Okie steers and bulls weighing 545 at $76.90, a load of Okie heifers weighing 425 at $76.41, and two loads of Okie heifers weighing 580 at $73.96; to Missouri buyers two loads of mostly heifers with a few mixed steers and bulls weighing 400 at $77.80, also two loads of bred Okie cows at $460 per head; to a New Mexico buyer one load of fancy Okie and quarter-cross heifers weighing 475 at $77.64; to a Texas buyer one load of No. 1½ Okie heifers weighing 400 at $71.30.

USDA reports 5130 head of feeder steers and heifers selling direct off Oklahoma range, all for current delivery, including: medium and large No. 1 steers weighing 725-775 pounds at $69.50-73, 800-825 pounds $69-70.95, 875-900 pounds $64-66.50; similar heifers weighing 525 pounds at $70, 650-685 pounds $68-69.50, and 700-750 pounds $66-68.

Direct feeder cattle trade in the Northwest as confirmed by USDA totaled 1350 head. Medium and large No. 1 steers weighing 850-900 pounds brought $65-68 f.o.b. Washington and Idaho; similar heifers weighing 850 pounds were $65 f.o.b. Idaho.
