Abilene Feeder Steer,
Heifer Prices Higher

ABILENE —(July 7)— Feeder steers and heifers sold steady to $1 higher, weights under 400 pounds $2-3 higher, slaughter cows trending higher, stock cows fully steady. Receipts totaled 1624 head.

Feeder steers: medium and large No. 1 200-300 lbs. $95-105, 300-400 lbs. $84-95, few to $99, 400-500 lbs. $72-83.50, 500-600 lbs. $68-75, 600-700 lbs. $66.50-72.50, 700-800 lbs. $66-71.

Feeder heifers: medium and large No. 1 200-300 lbs. $80-89, 300-400 lbs. $72-78, 400-500 lbs. $70-75, 500-600 lbs. $68-74.50, 600-700 lbs. $65.50-69.50, 700-800 lbs. $63-68.50.

Slaughter cows: high cutter and boning utility 1-3 $36.50-39.50, cutter 1-3 $32-36, canner and low cutter $22.50-31.50; yield grade 1-2 bulls 1650-2000 lbs. $49-53.50, low yielding 1600-2000 lbs. $46-48.50.

Stock cows: young 950-1200 lbs. 4-8 months bred $470-520 per head, aged 1000-1350 lbs. 4-8 months bred $400-460; young 800-1300 lb. cows with 75-200 lb. calves $530-630 per pair, aged 1000-1250 lb. cows with 100-200 lb. calves $440-510.
