KERRVILLE —(July 18)— A South African Angora buck topped the eleventh annual Hobson, Haby, Lockhart, Ross and Speck Angora production sale here. The Speck buck sold to Robert Stewart, Clifton, for $1950. The high selling doe was also from Speck, going to Mike Jonas, San Marcos, for $550. A total of 74 goats were offered for sale and 71 sold; 46 bucks averaged $385 and 25 does averaged $277. Second and third high selling bucks were from Speck, selling to Hugh Coates, Brackettville, for $850 and $775. The second high selling doe was a tie between Ross had Speck at $400 each. The Ross buck went to Diane Keller, Sonora, and the Speck doe went to Lee Jackson. Jimmy Condra, Sonora, bought 13 goats for $4300. |
