W.H. Terry, Jr. of Apline is reported to have bought around 1000 mixed whiteface lambs from Joe Clark, also of Apline, for September delivery at 17 cents.

Ben Dechert of Junction last week bought around 1500 lambs in the Junction area, paying $15.50 to $16 cwt. for mixed whitefaces. He bought some 65 to 70 pound blackface lambs at $17. All were for immediate delivery.

Clarence Scharbauer of Midland has sold 1000 steer calves and 1000 heifer calves off his ranches near Midland, in the Panhandle, and in New Mexico at 20 and 21 cents for heifers and steers, respectively.

John Leatherwood of Las Vegas, New Mexico, this week sold 319 choice coming two year-old heifers, all open, to Ike Wiggins of Wagon Mound, New Mexico, at 17 cents a pound.

Stanley Buchanan of Roosevelt, Oklahoma, this week bought three loads of 58-pound feeder lambs through Mid-West Feed Yards of San Angelo at $16 cwt.

Street Whitley of Mertzon sold two loads of 70 pound lambs at $16.50.

Pete Buske of Friona, Texas, this week delivered 1265 clipped mutton feeder lambs weighing 72½ pounds at $21.50 cwt. to Reynolds & Frisk, Texhoma, Okla.

Roger Brumley, Hereford, Texas, sold 200 fed heifers weighing 750-800 pounds at $26 to Pinkney Packing Co., Amarillo, delivered Aug. 3; these had been on feed about 140 days.

Pup Wells of Stratford sold, out of feedlots at Dalhart, 124 heifers weighing 812 pounds net at $26, delivered Aug. 1 to Pinkney Packing Co., Amarillo.

Melton Bennett of Des Moines, N.M., sold 200 heifer yearlings expected to weigh 650-675 at 24.50 for October delivery to Tom Cooper of Fort Morgan, Colo.

Francis Davidson, Arnett, Okla., is reported to have sold 400 mixed calves weighing 476 pounds and delivered them last week at $30 and $32 to Singer-Brummett Cattle Co., Amarillo.

Buck Wilcoxson, Grants, N.M., sold 250 heifer and steer calves weighing around 400 pounds at $29 straight across to a Dalhart buyer.

R.H. Scott of Springer and Tom Augustine of Maxwell, N.M., sold 800 crossbred steer yearlings expected to weigh around 750 pounds at $21.65 for October delivery to Ike Wiggins of Wagon Mound.

"Pistol" Navarro of Ft. Wingate, N.M., sold about 200 mixed calves expected to weigh near 400 or a little less at $28 and $30 for Oct. 20 delivery to a Dalhart buyer.

Al Gallo of Dalhart sold 1350 heifer yearlings expected to weigh 700 pounds at $22.50 for Oct. 15 delivery to L.C. Scudder of Lexington, Neb. These are described as good quality cattle, mostly Herefords but including a few Angus.

G.W. Steele and Artie Watkins, Dalhart, sold 161 heifer yearlings expected to weigh 650 pounds at $23 for Oct. 1 delivery to a Kansas buyer.

Northwest Feed Yards, Buffalo, Okla. sold a load of 950 pound heifers grading 85 percent choice at $26.65 to an Oklahoma packer.

Charlie Dunlap, Vaughn, N.M., sold 5200 mostly Hereford and a few Angus and black baldface steers weighing about 550 pounds at $28.40 to Dennis Coberly, Moorhead, Iowa.

Bob Sims, Alpine, has sold 316 Rambouillet yearling ewes for $25 per head.

Pitman-Easley Inc., Hereford, sold 464 steers weighing 1050, grading 80 percent choice, at $27.75 to a Texas packer.

Randall County Feed Yard, Amarillo, sold 261 steers grading 70-75 percent choice and weighing 1030-1060 at $27.25-27.50 to Texas packers.

Average wool price received by producers through July 30 was 83.8 cents a pound, says USDA. Average mohair price as of the same date was $2.30, above the $1.44 parity level.

Wool top production in the U.S. the first five months of 1973 was 29,589,000 pounds, down from 34,172,500 in the same period last year.

B&N Ranch, Parsons, Kan., bought from the Kimbell Ranch, Virgil, Kan., for an Iowa feeder, 400 choice heifers weighing 700 pounds at $56.50.
