Goat Prices Lower

JUNCTION —(Aug. 3)— Feeder lambs sold steady to $2 lower, slaughter ewes $5-8 lower; stock Angora goats $2-4 lower, slaughter $5-8 lower; slaughter Spanish goats steady to $3 lower, stock nannies steady. Receipts totaled 10,500 head.

Sheep: medium and large No. 1 feeder lambs 40-60 lbs. $70-73, 60-75 lbs. $73-80; utility 2-3 slaughter ewes $20-25, good 2-3 $25-36.50; medium and large 1-2 solidmouth stock ewes 110-150 lbs. $35-41; young Barbado ewes 60-80 lbs. $28-32 cwt.

Angora goats: stock kids 15-25 lbs. $5-12 per head, 30-55 lbs. $42-55 cwt., babytooth nannies $32-40, muttons $30-40; slaughter muttons and billies 80-110 $27-35, fat nannies $23-30, thin nannies and muttons $16-21.

Spanish goats: choice and prime slaughter kids 20-40 lbs. $50-62 cwt., 40-65 lbs. $62-70.50, nannies 85-130 lbs. $34-46, some thin $22-33, muttons 80-105 lbs. $55-62, billies 80-150 lbs. $45-57; young stock nannies $30-35 per head.
