Vann-Roach Cattle Co., Fort Worth, bought in North Texas two loads of No. 1 crossbred steers weighing 650 pounds at $66; in South Texas two loads of No. 1 heifers weighing 630 at $62.

Brown Cattle Co., Clyde, sold to Kansas buyers two loads of black, black whiteface and red whiteface steers weighing 469 pounds at $77.87, also two loads of No. 1 and better feeder heifers weighing 491 at $67.18 delivered; to Oklahoma buyers two loads of English and English cross heifers weighing 438 at $69.93, also one load of short bred Brangus running age cows weighing 976 at $35.06, and two loads of mixed English cross cows weighing 987 at $33.69 going to grass.

USDA reports 5775 head of feeder cattle selling direct off Oklahoma range, including: for current delivery medium and large No. 1 steers weighing 675 pounds at $69, also 725-775 pounds at $66-69 and 800-850 pounds at $64.50-67.50; similar heifers weighing 700-750 pounds at $63-66.50; medium and large 1-2 steers weighing 725 pounds at $65 and 850 pounds at $60.50.

Direct feeder cattle trade in the Northwest as confirmed by USDA totaled 500 head. Medium and large No. 1 steers weighing 700-800 pounds brought $64-64 f.o.b. Oregon, 850 pounds $64 f.o.b. Oregon, and 900 pounds $61 f.o.b. Oregon; similar heifers weighing 650 pounds were $60 f.o.b. Oregon and 750 pounds $59 f.o.b. Oregon.

Montana direct feeder cattle sales reported by USDA totaled 915 head. Medium and large No. 1 steers weighing 850-900 pounds made $67-68, 900-925 pounds $64-65; similar heifers weighing 800-850 pounds were $62-63, all prices f.o.b. for current delivery.
