LAMPASAS —(Aug. 5)— Feeder steers weighing under 600 pounds sold steady, heavier weights $2 higher, heifers $2-3 higher, slaughter cows and bulls $2-3 lower. Receipts totaled 1062 head.

Feeder steers: medium and large No. 1 300-400 lbs. $80-87, 400-500 lbs. $70-81, 500-600 lbs. $64-71, 600-700 lbs. $64-68.50.

Feeder heifers: medium and large No. 1 300-400 lbs. $69.50-80, 400-500 lbs. $62.50-72.50, 500-600 lbs. $61-67.50, 600-700 lbs. $61-64.

Slaughter cows: breakers 1000-1250 lbs. $29-34.75, boners $28.50-33, high yielding $34-36, lean 900-1200 lbs. $27-32.50, 800-900 lbs. $25-29.50, under 800 lbs. $22.50-26; yield grade 1-2 bulls 1300-2100 lbs. $42-44.50, high dressing $47.50-48.25, 1000-1300 lbs. $38-41.50.

Stock cows: medium and large 1-2 young 750-1000 lb. cows with 150-250 lb. caves $520-580 per pair, aged 800-1050 lb. cows with 100-150 lb. calves $425-450.
