Angelo Lambs Higher,
Cattle Weak To Lower
SAN ANGELO Feeder and slaughter lambs were in
good demand and $1-3 higher this week, slaughter ewes
mostly steady. Receipts totaled 12,239 head, fully 50
percent ewes and 30 percent goats. Feeder steers and
heifers sold weak to $1 lower last week, slaughter cows
and bulls weak, stock cows and pairs firm to slightly
higher. Receipts totaled 4379 head.
Feeder lambs: medium and large 1-2 40-60 lbs. $77-82,
60-80 lbs. $75-82, few $83-87, 90-95 lbs. $75-79; medium
and large No. 2 40-60 lbs. $70-77, 60-90 lbs. $70-75.
Slaughter lambs: choice 2-3 100-120 lbs. $80-87.50;
good and choice 2-4 slaughter ewes $27-37.50, utility and
good 1-3 $32-44, utility 1-2 $25-33, cull and utility 1-2
$18-25, bucks, $29-39, few $41-44.
Stock ewes: medium and large 1-2 yearlings $61-65 per
head, babytooth $58-60. Goats: slaughter billy and wether
