GIDDINGS —(Aug. 17)— Feeder steers and heifers sold mostly steady, some lightweights a little higher. Receipts totaled 941 head. Feeder steers: 200-300 lbs. $78-108, 300-400 lbs. $77-101, 400-500 lbs. $69.50-81, 500-600 lbs. $64-74, 600-700 lbs. $60-66, 700-800 lbs. $58-63, 800-900 lbs. $57-62.50. Feeder heifers: 300-400 lbs. $68-87, 400-500 lbs. $64-74, 500-600 lbs. $61.50-76, 600-700 lbs. $57-65, 700-800 lbs. $54-57, 800-900 lbs. $51-53. Slaughter cows: all grades $23.50-38; bulls $41.50-49; stock cows $34.50-50; cows with calves, $350-610 per pair. |
