Steers And Heifers Up

JUNCTION —(Aug. 14)— Feeder steers sold $2-4 higher at the special High-Dollar calf and yearling sale at Junction Stockyards, heifers $1-2 higher. Receipts totaled 477 head.

Show winners included:

Steers:

Pen of five calves: 1. Mark Wilkinson, Sonora, six Angus, 648 lbs. $68.25; 2. Mark Wilkinson, six Angus, 571 lbs. $72.50; 3. Haygood Ranch, Junction, six black, 338 lbs. $90.50.

Pen of 10 calves: 1. Dillingham Ranch, Junction, 10 Simmental cross, 583 lbs. $69.50; 2. London Ranch, London, 12 Simmental cross, 525 lbs. $74; 3. Haygood Ranch, 13 black and whiteface, 374 lbs. $84.50.

Pen of five yearlings: 1. Delton Stewart, London, five mixed crossbred, 621 lbs. $70.25; 2. Comanche Point Ranch, Junction, five crossbred, 495 lbs. $66.

Pen of 10 yearlings: 1. Tommy Eckert, Mason, 10 Charolais cross, 636 lbs. 473.

Heifers:

Pen of five calves: 1. Tea Cup Ranch, Junction, eight Charolais cross, 563 lbs. $65.75; 2. Dillingham Ranch, seven Simmental cross, 517 lbs. $63; 3. London Ranch, eight black Simmental cross, 488 lbs. $64.

Pen of 10 calves: 1. 16 black and black whiteface, 334 lbs. $76.75.
