Junction Goat Prices
Trend Sharply Higher

JUNCTION —(Aug. 31)— Stock Angora nannies sold $4-8 higher, slaughter muttons and billies $4 higher, kids $8 higher, other slaughter Angoras fully steady; slaughter Spanish kids and yearlings $5-7 higher, other slaughter goats $3-5 higher. Receipts totaled 6400 head.

Sheep: utility 2-3 slaughter ewes $23.50-26.50, good 2-3 $38-46, bucks $30.00-38.00; medium and large 1-2 yearling ewes $87 per head; young Barbado ewes $26-27 per head. Angora goats: babytooth stock nannies 45-60 lbs. $38-56 cwt.; fat slaughter muttons and billies 80-115 lbs. $36-40, nannies $75-85 lbs. $33-35, kids 30-50 lbs. $59-73, thin nannies and muttons $17-29.

Spanish goats: choice and prime slaughter kids 15-35 lbs. $65-76 cwt., yearlings 35-65 lbs. $70-80, nannies 75-120 lbs. $45-59, thin nannies $32-44, muttons and billies 75-130 lbs. $60-79, billies 80-160 lbs, $55-73; stock nannies $30-41 per head.
