COLORADO CITY —(Sept. 12)— Trading was active and demand good, though lack of a sale last week allowed no price comparison. Receipts totaled 2522 head. Feeder steers: medium and large No. 1 300-400 lbs. $81-92, 400-500 lbs. $74-80, 500-600 lbs. $70-76.50, package $77.50, 600-700 lbs. $64-70, few $71.50-72, 700-800 lbs. $60-63. Feeder heifers: medium and large No. 1 300-400 lbs. $68-73.50, 400-500 lbs. $63-68.50, package $70.25, 500-600 lbs. $62-68.25, 600-700 lbs. $61-64. Slaughter cows: breakers 1000-1250 lbs. $30-34, boners $31-35, high yielding $34-39, lean 900-1200 lbs. $29-34.50, 750-900 lbs. $26-32, under 750 lbs. $22-26; yield grade 1-2 bulls 1300-2100 lbs. $42-45, high yielding $45-45.50, low yielding $37.50-43.25. Stock cows: medium and large 1-2 young 950-1250 lbs. 4-7 months bred $380-450 per head, aged 900-1100 lbs. 3-7 months bred $305-360; medium and large 1-2 young 950-1100 lb. cows with 100-200 lb. calves, $495-540 per pair, aged 900-1000 lb. cows with 100-300 lb. calves $460. |
