Angelo Feeder Lambs
Lower, Cattle Steady

SAN ANGELO — Feeder lambs sold weak to $1 lower, slaughter lambs too few to test, slaughter ewes uneven, utility and good firm to $1 higher, others weak to $1 lower. Receipts about 40 percent slaughter ewes and 45 percent goats.

All classes of cattle sold steady last week. Receipts totaled 5790 head, including 2317 feeders at Monday’s special sale.

Feeder lambs: medium and large 1-2 40-60 lbs. $72-78, 60-70 lbs. $71-78, 70-80 lbs. $70-74, 80-90 lbs. $67.50-70, 90-100 lbs. $64-68; medium and large No. 2 40-70 lbs. $65-72, 70-80 lbs. $63-70, 80-90 lbs. $60-67, 90-100 lbs. $60-64.

Slaughter lambs: few choice 2-3 100-120 lbs. $63-69; good and choice 2-4 slaughter ewes $30-38, few $39-41, utility and good 1-3 $32-42, set $43.40, utility 1-2 $24-34, cull and utility 1-2 $18-25, bucks $30-37.

Stock ewes: medium and large 1-2 babytooth $50-64 per head, solidmouth $44-52.50.

Goats: slaughter billy and wether meat goats 100-150 lbs. $58-95 per head, 150-200 lbs. $95-140; nannies 70-110 lbs. $44-51 cwt., thin 60-90 lbs. $34-44, choice and prime kids and yearlings 40-60 lbs. $70-75, 60-90 lbs. $70-79, few $80-85, choice 40-95 lbs. $60-70, good 35-100 lbs. $55-60; Angoras, choice 60-100 lbs. $30-37 cwt. good 55-80 lbs. $20-28, choice kids 40-65 lbs. $51-58; replacement meat goat nannies 75-115 lbs. $70-75 per head.
