Steady To $2 Lower

COLORADO CITY —(Oct. 3)— Feeder steers and heifers sold mostly steady to $2 lower with 300 pound steers $2-5 higher, slaughter cows steady to $1 lower, bulls steady, bred cows steady and pairs lower. Receipts totaled 1771.

Feeder steers: medium and large No. 1 200-300 pounds, $83.50-96, 300-400 pounds, 79.50-87, few $89-91, 400-500 pounds $71-82.50, 500-600 pounds, $62.50-66, individual $68, 600-700 pounds $61-64; medium and large No. 1-2, 300-400 pounds, $65-77, 400-500 pounds $61-72.50, 500-600 pounds $57-63.50, 600-700 pounds $56-62.

Feeder heifers: medium and large No. 1 300-400 pounds $63-70, package $73.50, 400-500 pounds $60-65.25, 500-600 pounds $60-64.25; medium and large No. 1-2 200-300 pounds $60-66, 300-400 pounds $55-65, 400-500 pounds $54-61, 500-600 pounds $53-60, 600-700 pounds $54.50-58.50.

Slaughter cows: breakers 1000-1250 pounds $27-31, boners 1000-1200 pounds, $28-33, high yielding 1150-1350 pounds $30-34.50, lean 900-1200 pounds $22-27, under 750 pounds $15-21; slaughter bulls, yield grade 1-2, 1300-2100 pounds $37-41.50, high dressing, 1500-2100 pounds $41.75-46, low dressing 1000-1300 pounds $32.50-39.

Stock cows: Medium and large No. 1-2, 3-6 year-olds, 800-1235 pounds, four to eight months bred $375-460 per head, few aged, 915-1075 pounds, four to seven months bred $270-330 per head; medium and large No. 1-2 three to six year-olds, 800-1100 pounds with 100 to 400 pound calves $460-595 per pair, aged 850-1100 pounds with 100-300 pound calves $375-455 per pair.
