DODGE CITY, Kan. —(USDA)— Feeder steers were a $1 lower and heifers weak to a $1 lower in direct trading last week. Receipts were light at 3068 head. Weather for the area showed a welcome change as rains of one to eight inches fell in the southwestern part of the state. Feeder steers: medium and large No. 1 few 725 lbs. $65; 850-875 lbs. $63.25-64; delivered 650-700 lbs. $70.25-71; 700-775 lbs. $67.50-69.50; 800-825 lbs. $65.25-65.95; small string of black and black whiteface $72.50; few 925-950 lbs. $62.90. Feeder heifers, medium and large No. 1 700-800 lbs. $61.90-63.50; 825-900 lbs. string $58; few medium and large No. 1-2 650-675 lbs. $62.51. |
