CUERO —(Oct. 9)— Feeder steers and heifers weighing over 400 pounds sold higher, slaughter cows 50 cents lower. Receipts totaled 1618 head. Feeder steers: 250-300 lbs. $82-89, 300-350 lbs. $79-94, 350-400 lbs. $75-90, 400-450 lbs. $75-82, 450-500 lbs. $68-79, 500-600 lbs. $65-72, 600-700 lbs. $59-68, over 700 lbs. $55-64. Feeder heifers: 300-400 lbs. $62-70, 400-500 lbs. $58-68, 500-600 lbs. $61-65, 600-700 lbs. $59-63. Slaughter cows: boning cutter and utility $28-31, high yielding $31.50-33.50, cutter $26.50-29, canner and low cutter $21.50-26.50; bulls $38-43.50; bred stock cows $32.50-45.
