ABILENE —(Oct. 20)— Feeder steers and heifers sold $3-5 higher, slaughter cows and bulls $3-5 higher, stock cows steady, pairs $20 higher. Receipts totaled 2595 head.

Feeder steers: medium and large No. 1 200-400 lbs. $80-90, 400-500 lbs. $76-86, 500-600 lbs. $68-76, 600-700 lbs. $66-71, 700-800 lbs. $63.50-68, 800-900 lbs. $58-62.50.

Feeder heifers: medium and large No. 1 200-300 lbs. $76-81, 300-400 lbs. $73-78.50, 400-500 lbs. $68-76, 500-600 lbs. $65-71, 600-700 lbs. $62.50-66.50, 700-800 lbs. $61-64.50.

Slaughter cows: breakers 1000-1250 lbs. $29-33, boners $27.50-33.50, high yielding 1150-1350 lbs. $34-38, lean 900-1200 lbs. $28-32.50, 750-900 lbs. $25-31.50, under 750 lbs. $20-28; yield grade 1-2 bulls 1300-2100 lbs. $37-43, high dressing $44-48.50.

Stock cows: medium and large 1-2 young 850-1300 lbs. 5-8 months bred $330-455 per head; medium and large 1-2 young 1100-1200 lb. cows with 100-150 lb. calves $440-530 per pair.
