Angelo Feeder Lambs,
Cattle Trade Upward
SAN ANGELO Feeder steers and heifers sold $1-3
higher last week, slaughter cows $1-2 higher, slaughter
bulls firm to $2 higher and stock cows and pairs steady.
Receipts totaled 3107 head.
Feeder lambs sold firm to $2 higher this week with the
greatest advance on lambs weighing under 70 pounds,
slaughter lambs firm, slaughter ewes uneven, good and
choice firm to $2 higher and other grades weak to $2
lower. Receipts totaled 10,788 head, with 60 percent
slaughter ewes, 15 percent feeder lambs and the balance
mostly goats.
Feeder lambs: medium and large 1-2 40-70 lbs. $70-76,
70-90 lbs. $67-70, few $70-73, 90-100 lbs. $65-68.50;
medium and large No. 2 40-70 lbs. $63-70, 70-90 lbs.
$60-67, 90-100 lbs. $60-65.
Slaughter lambs: choice 2-3 shorn and wooled 100-135
lbs. $64.50-69; good and choice 2-4 slaughter ewes
$27-36, utility and good 1-3 $30-40.50, utility 1-2
$24-32, cull and utility 1-2 $18-24, bucks $30-40, few
thin $24-30.
