Cattle Prices Higher

COLORADO CITY —(Oct. 24)— Feeder steers and heifers sold firm to $2 higher, slaughter cows steady to $1 higher, bulls steady, bred cows and pairs steady. Receipts totaled 1110 head.

Feeder steers: medium and large No. 1 200-300 lbs. $84-96, 300-400 lbs. $77.50-86, 400-500 lbs. $74-82, 500-600 lbs. $67.50-75.50, 600-700 lbs. $64-70, few $72-77, 700-800 lbs. $62-67.

Feeder heifers: medium and large No. 1 200-300 lbs. $69-75.50, 300-400 lbs. $67.50-75.50, 400-500 lbs. $62.50-70, few $73, 500-600 lbs. $62-67, 600-700 lbs. $61-63.50, 700-800 lbs. $60.50-64.

Slaughter cows: breakers 1000-1250 lbs. $38-32, boners $29-33, high yielding 1150-1350 lbs. $32-36.25, lean 900-1200 lbs. $27-32.50, 750-900 lbs. $24-29, under 750 lbs. $20-25; yield grade 1-2 bulls 1300-12100 lbs. $37-42, high dressing $43.25-45, low dressing 1000-1300 lbs. $34.75-39.75.

Stock cows: medium and large 1-2 young 800-1400 lbs. 4-8 months bred $380-485 per head, aged 800-1000 lbs. 3-6 months bred $230-325; medium and large 1-2 young 850-1300 lb. cows with 100-300 lb. calves, $470-570 per pair, aged 850-1000 lb. cows with 100-200 lb. calves $380-475.
