Cattle Trade Higher

SAN ANGELO — Feeder lambs sold firm to $2 higher this week, slaughter lambs $2-3 lower, slaughter ewes firm to $2 higher. Receipts totaled 8100 head including 40 percent ewes and 45 percent goats.

Feeder steers and heifers were firm to $2 higher last week, slaughter cows steady, bulls weak to $2 lower, stock cows and pairs firm to moderately higher. Receipts totaled 8890 head including 4694 calves at Monday’s feeder calf sale.

Feeder lambs: medium and large 1-2 40-70 lbs. $73-81, 70-80 lbs. $67.50-72.50, few $74-76, 80-95 lbs. $68-71; medium and large No. 2 40-70 lbs. $65-73, 70-90 lbs. $62-68.

Slaughter lambs: choice 2-3 shorn and wooled 90-125 lbs. $60-65, few $66-67; good and choice 2-4 slaughter ewes $30-38, utility and good 1-3 $33-42.50, utility 1-2 $26-36, cull and utility 1-2 $22-32; bucks $30-38.
