Ty Jones Cattle Co., Canyon, bought in West Texas 300 No. 1 Okie and exotic weaned steers weighing 550 pounds at $75.

Vann-Roach Cattle Co., Fort Worth, bought in West Texas two loads of No. 1 crossbred steers weighing 750 pounds at $68.50.

USDA reports 1105 head of feeder cattle selling direct off Oklahoma range, including: for current delivered medium and large No. 1 steers weighing 540 pounds at $74.50, also 320 head weighing 775-780 pounds at $68-69, and 850 pounds at $64; similar heifers weighing 500 pounds at $69 and 700-725 pounds at $63-64.

Direct feeder cattle trade in the Northwest as confirmed by USDA totaled 4300 head. Medium and large No. 1 steers weighing 700 pounds brought $70 and similar heifers weighing 550-600 pounds brought $67, all f.o.b. Idaho; similar steers weighing 750 were $65 and heifers weighing 750 $62, all f.o.b. Oregon.

Montana direct feeder cattle trade by USDA count came to 650 head. Medium and large No. 1 steers weighing 650-675 pounds brought $70-71, similar heifers weighing 625 pounds $66.
