DODGE CITY, Kan. —(USDA)— Feeder steers and heifers sold steady on a limited test in Kansas direct trade last week. Inquiry and demand were light due to the holiday period. Sales were confirmed on 3612 head. Weather in western Kansas was mild with highs in the 60's and lows in the high 30's. Feeder steers: medium and large No. 1 800-850 lbs. $66; 300-350 lbs. delivered $108.35, 550-600 lbs. $73-73.25, 600-700 lbs. $69-70, 700-750 lbs. $72.25, 800-850 lbs. $64.25-66. Feeder heifers: medium and large No. 1 300-350 lbs. delivered $92.85, 650-700 lbs. $66-70.25. |
