Pat Mitchell of Aspermont, Texas, sold to W.R. Aycock,
Lueders, Texas, the following cattle for December 4
delivery: 38 heifer calves weighing 400 pounds at $16.50
cwt.; 28 steer calves weighing 400 at $20 cwt.; and 16
steer yearlings weighing 500 pounds at $19.

Loyd Brandenburg of Willard, New Mexico, sold 100
steer calves to Guy Powell of Cherokee, Oklahoma, at $21
cwt., December 7 delivery, through John Wright of Fort
Sumner, New Mexico.

Cecil Meador of Eldorado is reported to have sold 100
two year-old steers at 17 cents a pound to Robert
Wheeless of Marfa, who bought them on order for shipment
to Cornbelt feeders.

Dee Graham of Amarillo bought, from Biggs Horn of
White Deer, Texas, three loads of Angus steers weighing
around 1000 pounds out of feedlots at 20 cents per pound,
December 9 delivery.

Last weekend, Lem Jones of Junction shipped three
carloads of mixed lambs on order to Kansas at 17 cents a
pound. Tuesday, he shipped another car bought at $16.50
cwt.

Bob Mayer & Son of Denver are reported to have
bought 314 steer yearlings expected to weigh about 700 or
a little less at $26 from Kehoe & Hulett of Amarillo
for March 1-April 1 delivery.

Reed Curtis of Amarillo sold 51 crossbred Brahman
steers which had been fed 90 days and averaged 846 pounds
to Armour & Co., Oklahoma City, at $23.50, delivered
this week.

John Birdwell, Brinkman, Okla., recently sold and
delivered 80 mixed calves weighing 380 pounds at $33
straight to Bob Sherrod of McLean, Texas.

Bob Hurt of San Angelo last week sold and delivered a
load of 65-pound whiteface ewe lambs located near Van
Horn to Bob Lewis of San Antonio at $24.50 cwt.

J.T. True of Allenreed, Texas, bought 98 replacement
heifer yearlings averaging 661 pounds at $25.50 and
received them recently from Kotara & Britten of
Groom, Texas.

Francis Allison, Texline, bought 90 Hereford steer
calves weighing 400 pounds at $26 and received them from
Bobby Dawson of Wheeless, Okla.

John G. Goodberry of Follett, Texas, sold 500 choice
quality Hereford bred two year-old heifers at $185 per
head to the Hammon Estate at Wichita Falls.

Rosebud Cattle Co., Hayden, N.M., sold 211 plain
quality steer yearlings weighing 756 pounds at $18.75
with a 10 percent cut at $16, delivered to California
buyers with a straight weighup after a 36-mile haul.

pounds, most of them Herefords but including a few Angus,
at $21 to a Dalhart buyer.

Frank Hinkson of Muleshoe, Texas, sold 109 Angus
stocker cows weighing 900 at $135 each to a Clovis buyer.

R.E. Womble, Stinnett, bought 123 black baldface and a
few Hereford heifer and steer calves weighing 358 and 365
at $27 and $31 from Charlie Fry, Hereford.

Randall County Feed Yard, Amarillo, sold 476 steers
weighing 1030 pounds, grading 75 percent choice, at
$27.75 to a Texas packer.

Ben Floersheim and his son Donald carry on the
tradition of the elder Sol Floersheim, on the Jaritas
Ranch east of Springer, N.M., who believed calves should
be born at the same time that deer and antelope on the
ranch have their young. Thus, April calves were weaned
last week; the steers, weighing about 375, have been
contracted to Bob Froehlich of Rockford, Ill., for
January delivery.

875, grading 70 percent choice, at $26 to a Tennessee
packer.

to 250 pounds at $965 per pair; to a Dewey, Okla., buyer
59 Brangus 3-6 year-old cows with 13 calves at $945 per
cow; to a Coahoma, Texas buyer 54 Brahman cross 3-6
year-old cows with six calves, the balance heavy bred,
weighing 1000 pounds at $895.
