Prices Move Higher

ABILENE —(Dec. 8)— Feeder steers sold $1-4 higher, the full advance on weights under 600 pounds, heifers $1 higher, slaughter cows and bulls steady, stock cows $20 higher, pairs higher. Receipts totaled 1645 head.

Feeder steers: medium and large No. 1 300-400 lbs. $99-109, package 329 lbs. $111, 400-500 lbs. $88-97, package 428 lbs. $100, 500-600 lbs. $78-86, package 502 lbs. $88, 600-700 lbs. $68-73, 700-800 lbs. $60-65, 800-900 lbs. $56-62.

Feeder heifers: medium and large No. 1 300-400 lbs. $80-87, 400-500 lbs. $75-82, 500-600 lbs. $64.50-70, 600-700 lbs. $61-65, 700-800 lbs. $58.50-63.50.

Slaughter cows: breakers 1000-1250 lbs. $29-31, boners $30-33, high dressing 1150-1350 lbs. $33.50-36, lean 900-1200 lbs. $27.50-31.50, 750-900 lbs. $25-30.50, under 750 lbs. $22-30; yield grade 1-2 bulls 1300-2100 lbs. $37-43, high dressing $43.50-45.50, 1000-1300 lbs. $35-38.50.

Stock cows: medium and large 1-2 young 1000-1450 lbs. 7-8 months bred $430-500 per head, aged 150-1250 lbs. 4-7 months bred $330-420; medium and large 1-2 young 850-1180 lb. cows with 100-150 lb. calves $500-640 per pair.
