FREDERICKSBURG —(Jan. 6)— Feeder steers were strong to $5 higher, the advance on weights over 500 pounds, heifers $2-3 higher, slaughter cows and bulls $2-5 higher. Receipts totaled 1393 head. Feeder steers: medium and large No. 1 200-300 lbs. $85-108, 300-400 lbs. $80-104, 400-500 lbs. $80-103, 500-600 lbs. $70-89, 600-700 lbs. $63-76. Feeder heifers: medium and large No. 1 200-300 lbs. $67-100, 300-400 lbs. $66-95, 400-500 lbs. $65-85, 500-600 lbs. $61-72, 600-700 lbs. $58-70; replacements $65-85. Slaughter cows: all grades $22-40.50; bulls $38-50; bred stock cows $375-550 per head; cows with calves $500-700 per pair. |
