Lambs Trade Higher

GOLDTHWAITE —(Jan. 8)— Feeder lambs sold $2 higher, slaughter lambs steady, slaughter ewes and bucks fully steady; slaughter Angora goats steady; slaughter Spanish muttons and billies $8-10 lower, other slaughter Spanish goats mostly steady, stock nannies steady. Receipts totaled 3500 head.

Sheep: medium and large No. 1 feeder lambs 55-80 lbs. $79-87; choice and prime 2-3 slaughter lambs 90-155 lbs. $68-72, utility 2-3 slaughter ewes $42-43.50, good 2-3 $46-48.50, cull $35-36, bucks $35-52; medium and large 1-2 yearling stock ewes 130 lbs. $59 cwt.; Barbado ewes with lambs $22-24 each, lambs 30-55 lbs. $72-90 cwt., ewes 70-90 lbs. $44-53, bucks 65-105 lbs. $45-57.

Angora goats: fat wethers and billies 95-110 lbs. $46-55.50 cwt., yearlings 45-55 lbs. $60-67, thin nannies and muttons $37.50-41.

Spanish goats: choice and prime slaughter kids 15-35 lbs. $80-93 cwt., good 35-65 lbs. $79-88, good nannies 65-77, fat 80-130 lbs. $49-57, thin $34-44, wethers 75-95 lbs. $68-83, billies 80-205 lbs. $72-83; stock nannies $32-48 per head, nannies with kids $24-29 each, Boer cross kids $50-75 per head, nannies $77-88.
