Lambs Trade Higher

GOLDTHWAITE —(Feb. 5)— Feeder lambs sold steady to $3 higher, slaughter ewes $3-4 higher; slaughter Spanish kids, nannies and muttons $3-5 higher, billies steady, stock nannies steady. Receipts totaled 2700 head.

Sheep: medium and large No. 1 feeder lambs 60-80 lbs. $60-75.50, few newcrop 50-70 lbs. $80-86, utility 2-3 slaughter ewes $31-35, good 2-3 $35-48, bucks $41-44; Barbado ewes 55-75 lbs. $44-48 cwt., bucks 70-100 lbs. $53-67, stock bucks $70-140 per head, young ewes with lambs $25 each.

Angora goats: kids 30-50 lbs. $62-75 cwt., few yearlings 50-60 lbs. $57-61.

Spanish goats: choice and prime slaughter kids 15-35 lbs. $75-85 cwt., 35-65 lbs. $77-85, good 15-35 lbs. $70-77, 35-65 lbs. $71-78, fat nannies 80-130 lbs. $43-52, thin nannies $35-43, muttons 75-125 lbs. $62.50-78, billies 90-165 lbs. $55-67; stock nannies 60-75 lbs. $45-61 cwt., Boer cross nannies with kids $38-40 each.
