J.B. Foster of Culberson County, Texas, this week sold
1300 fat wooled lambs at $21 cwt. on the Fort Worth
market through Bob Bramblett, Daggett-Keen Commission
Company.

John R. Scott of Mertzon is reported to have sold
around 500 heavy feeder lambs in the wool to Jack Shaw of
Fort Worth for delivery this week at 20 cents per pound.

Reed Curtis, Amarillo, bought two loads of coming two
year-old steers weighing 825 pounds for March 15 delivery
off wheat at Dumas, Texas, at $20.25 from Bob Mayer &
Company, Denver.

off wheat pasture, 400 steer and heifer yearlings at
$18.50 and $21 to Pickett & Dawson of Amarillo.

Cliff Augustine of Lamar, Colo., bought 100 heifer
yearlings expected to weigh 700-750 pounds for May 1-June
1 delivery, seller's option, at $27 from Jack Vincent of
Stratford, Texas. He also bought 160 heifer yearlings
expected to weigh about 650 pounds at $27.25 for May
15-June 15 delivery from Homer Coffman of Stratford.

fall shorn feeder lambs averaging 93.7 pounds at $17 from

and received them off wheat pasture near Vega this week
from O.O. Turner, Altus, Okla.

expected to weigh near 700 pounds at $27 for April 15
delivery and 100 expected to weigh around 725 pounds for
May 15 delivery at the same price to a Colorado buyer.

yearlings averaging 807 pounds at $21.25 delivered to
Gale Eastman, Amarillo.

Mike O'Connor bought for Shamrock Cattle Co., Marble
Falls, Texas, 700 Hereford, Angus and black baldface
short yearling steers from V&W Cattle Co., Liberal,
Kan., at $30.50 to go April 15-May 1, expected to weigh
500-525 pounds; 600 crossbred steers from Giesecke Bros.,
Marble Falls, at $27 to go June 1-10, expected to weigh
about 600 pounds.

Rush Herefords, Elida, N.M., sold 123 Hereford cake
and grass steers weighing about 600 pounds at $28.50 to
Pete Buske, Friona.

The old Cin-Tex beef packing plant at Amarillo, closed
the previous year, was reopened under new ownership as
Beef Packers Inc. New owner was Jim Hayes, New York City.
John Juengling, former owner of the plant, was head
cattle buyer.

1050 pounds, 65 percent choice, at $27.

Roy Thompson of Las Vegas, N.M., is reported to have
leased summer pasture for 1500 steers on the Banderillo
Ranch near Ocate, N.M., at $35 per head for the season.
The ranch, owned by Schwartz & Foster of El Paso, is
the former Jones Land & Cattle Co.
