San Saba, Brownwood,
Mason Feeders Higher

Feeder steers and heifers sold $2-6 higher in Mason, Brownwood and San Saba last week, the greatest advance on 400-500 pounds, slaughter cows and bulls steady to $2 lower, pairs and breed stock cows steady. Receipts totaled 2554 head at the three sales.

Feeder steers: 150-300 lbs. $98-118, 300-400 lbs. $91-108, 400-500 lbs. $81-106, 500-600 lbs. $79-94, 600-700 lbs. $68-84.50, 700-800 lbs. $65-73.50.

Feeder heifers: 150-300 lbs. $82-115, 300-400 lbs. $73-88, 400-500 lbs. $71-86, 500-600 lbs. $69-77.50, 600-700 lbs. $64-78, 700-800 lbs. $61-73.50; replacements $72-81.

Slaughter cows: all grades $31-38.50; bulls $42-49; bred stock cows $320-590 per head; cows with calves $530-735 per pair.
