200 No. 1 steers weighing 775 at $72.50; in North Texas
for April 850 No. 1-1½ exotic cross steers to weigh 800
at $71, and for March 700 similar heifers to weigh 700 at
$69.50; in the Texas Panhandle for March 200 No. 1 exotic
cross steers to weigh 775 at $73.
USDA reports 6250 head of feeder cattle selling direct
off Oklahoma range, including: for July delivery medium
and large No. 1 heifers to weigh 700 pounds at $69; for
April similar steers to weigh 675 at $74; for March
steers to weigh 800 at $71 and heifers to weigh 725-775
at $67.50-69.50; for current delivery steers weighing
725-825 pounds at $70.50-74 and 850-900 at $67-69, also
similar heifers weighing 700 at $70.
Northwest direct feeder cattle trade as confirmed by
USDA totaled 9350 head. Medium and large No. 1 steers
weighing 575 pounds brought $86 f.o.b. Idaho, 600-625
pounds $78-82 f.o.b. Idaho and Oregon, 750-800 pounds
$72-73.50 f.o.b. Idaho, 800-825 pounds $72 f.o.b. Idaho,
800-850 pounds $70-74 delivered in Idaho and Washington,
and 875 pounds $71-71.50 f.o.b. Washington and Idaho;
similar heifers weighing 550 pounds were $74 f.o.b.
Oregon, 775 pounds $70 f.o.b. Oregon, 775-800 pounds
$67-69 delivered in Washington and Idaho, and 800-825
pounds $67-69 f.o.b. Oregon and Washington.
Montana direct feeder cattle trade by USDA count came
to 1585 head. Medium and large No. 1 steers weighing
650-700 pounds made $78-80, 750-800 pounds $72-74 and 825
pounds $71-71.50; similar heifers weighing 575 were $77,
700 pounds $68.50-70.75, and 775 pounds $68.
