Lambs Trade Higher

GOLDTHWAITE —(Feb. 19)— Feeder lambs sold $2-4 higher, slaughter lambs $2-4 higher, slaughter ewes and bucks steady; stocker Spanish goats steady, slaughter kids steady to $3 higher, muttons and billies steady except weights under 90 pounds $3-5 higher. Receipts totaled 3300 head.

Sheep: medium and large No. 1 feeder lambs 65-85 lbs. $70-87, newcrop 65-75 lbs. $93-96.50; choice and prime 2-3 slaughter lambs 100-130 lbs. $64-72, utility 2-3 slaughter ewes $25, good 2-3 $38-48, bucks $36-44; medium and large 1-2 solidmouth ewes with 30 lb. lambs $42 each; Barbado lambs 40-60 lbs. $70-87 cwt., bucks 65-110 lbs. $65-190 per head, individual $230, ewes 70-80 lbs. $40-45.50 cwt.

Angora goats: choice and prime slaughter kids 40-55 lbs. $70-78 cwt., yearlings 40-65 lbs. $55-66, thin nannies $25-39, thin muttons $25-39.

Spanish goats: young stock nannies $43-48 per head, some 45-65 lb. $50-65 cwt.; choice and prime slaughter kids 15-35 lbs. $75-83, few $87, 35-65 lbs. $84-93, few $99, good 35-65 lbs. $77-85, fat nannies 90-115 lbs. $49-57, thin nannies $37-45, fat muttons 90-120 lbs. $60-75, 80-90 lbs. $75-83, billies 90-195 lbs. $68-75, 70-90 lbs. $75-84.
