ABILENE —(March 16)— Feeder steers weighing less than 600 pounds sold $1 lower, heavier weights steady, heifers steady, slaughter cows $1-2 higher, bulls steady, stock cows and pairs $20 higher. Receipts totaled 1142 head.

Feeder steers: medium and large No. 1 300-400 lbs. $90-99, 400-500 lbs. $86-95, 500-600 lbs. $80-86, 600-700 lbs. $71-75.50, 700-800 lbs. $67-72.

Feeder heifers: medium and large No. 1 300-400 lbs. $85-94, 400-500 lbs. $76-84, 500-600 lbs. $73-78, 600-700 lbs. $69-73.50.

Slaughter cows: breakers $34-37, boners $33.50-37.75, high dressing $38-42, lean 900-1200 lbs. $32-35, 750-900 lbs. $29-34, under 750 lbs. $28-32.50; yield grade 1-2 bulls 1300-2100 lbs. $43-48, high dressing $49-51, 1000-1300 lbs. 440.50-47.

Stock cows: medium and large 1-2 young 900-1200 lbs. 7-8 months bred $500-570 per head, aged 1100-1550 lbs. 4-8 months bred $390-490; medium and large 1-2 young 1000-1300 lb. cows with 75-200 lb. calves $580-640 per pair, aged 900-1200 lb. cows with 100-150 lb. calves $460-570.
