Lambs Trade Steady

GOLDTHWAITE —(March 12)— Feeder lambs sold steady, slaughter lambs $2 lower, slaughter ewes and bucks mostly steady; slaughter Spanish kids mostly steady, other slaughter goats $3-4 lower, stock nannies $3 higher. Receipts totaled 4700 head.

Sheep: medium and large No. 1 feeder lambs 75-115 lbs. $67-73, newcrop 50-70 lbs. $85-95, few small lambs up to $106, 70-110 lbs. $79.50-87.50; choice and prime 2-3 slaughter lambs 110-135 lbs. $60-71, utility 2-3 slaughter ewes $32-37, good 2-3 $42-48, bucks $30-38; medium and large 1-2 ewes with lambs $37-40 each; slaughter Barbado lambs 35-70 lbs. $60-74 cwt., ewes 55-70 lbs. $35-47; young stock ewes 65-90 lbs. $48-58 cwt., ewes with lambs $18-30 each.

Angora goats: fat slaughter nannies and muttons $44-49.50 cwt., thin nannies and muttons $35-40.

Spanish goats: choice and prime slaughter kids 15-35 lbs. $80-90 cwt., 35-65 lbs. $83-91, good $69-79, fat nannies 85-115 lbs. $47-50, thin $43-46, muttons 80-110 lbs. $62-80, billies 90-180 lbs. $67-74; young stock nannies 50-90 lbs. $53-65 cwt., Boer cross kids $43-65, nannies $60-70 per head.
