Feeder steers and heifers sold steady to strong last week in Mason, Brownwood and San Saba, slaughter cows and bulls steady to $1.50 higher, pairs and bred stock cows steady. Receipts totaled 1489 head at the three sales.

Feeder steers: 150-300 lbs. $90-117, 300-400 lbs. $90-110, 400-500 lbs. $82-97.50, 500-600 lbs. $76-92, 600-700 lbs. $68-78, 700-800 lbs. $60-75.

Feeder heifers: 150-300 lbs. $80-116, 300-400 lbs. $74-87, 400-500 lbs. $72-87, 500-600 lbs. $66-78, 600-700 lbs. $64-76.50, 700-900 lbs. $58-68.

Slaughter cows: all grades $30-39; bulls $29-52; bred stock cows $365-580 per head; cows with calves $425-655 per pair.
