weigh 700 pounds at $66; for current delivery 140 No. 1
steers weighing 750 pounds at $70.
Vann-Roach Cattle Co., Fort Worth, bought in Central
Texas for September delivery one load of Holstein-Brangus
cross steers to weigh 425 pounds at $79, also a load of
Holstein steers to weigh 425 at $72; in the Texas
Panhandle for current delivery four loads of No. 1
English and exotic cross steers weighing 725 pounds at
$72, also four loads of similar steers weighing 750 at
$71.50.
USDA reports 2225 head of feeder cattle selling direct
off Oklahoma range, including: for August delivery medium
and large No. 1 steers to weigh 750 pounds at $71.30; for
June similar heifers to weigh 750 at $66; for May steers
to weigh 750 at $69.30; for current delivery steers
weighing 500-570 pounds at $85-88.75, 775 pounds at
$69-71, similar heifers weighing 525 at $74 and 700-725
pounds at $67-68.
Direct feeder cattle trade in the Northwest, as
confirmed by USDA, totaled 2750 head. Medium and large
No. 1 steers weighing 800-900 pounds brought $65-66
f.o.b. Washington, Oregon and Idaho; similar heifers
weighing 725 were $67 f.o.b. Idaho, 750 pounds $64 f.o.b.
Oregon, and 800 pounds $63 f.o.b. Idaho.
Montana direct feeder cattle trade by USDA count came
to 830 head. Medium and large No. 1 steers weighing 780
pounds made $73 and 800-850 pounds $68-70; similar
heifers weighing 700 pounds were $70, 750-800 pounds
$67-68, all f.o.b. prices for current delivery.
