COLORADO CITY —(March 20)— Feeder steers and heifers sold steady, slaughter cows $2-3 higher, bulls steady, bred stock cows $25 higher, pairs $50 higher. Receipts totaled 607 head. Feeder steers: medium and large No. 1 300-400 lbs. $96.50-100, few $110, 400-500 lbs. $84-92, 600-700 lbs. $72.50-74. Feeder heifers: medium and large No. 1 300-400 lbs. $85-90.50, 400-500 lbs. $78-82, 500-600 lbs. $70.50-75, 600-700 lbs. $66.50-70.50. Slaughter cows: breakers $35, boners $36-41, high dressing $40-43, lean 900-1200 lbs. $34-37, 750-900 lbs. $33-34.50, under 750 lbs. $27-31.50; yield grade 1-2 bulls 1300-2100 lbs. $44-48, high dressing $49. Stock cows: medium and large 1-2 young 900-1250 lbs. 4-8 months bred $450-610 per head, aged 800-1000 lbs. 4-7 months bred $335-450; young 850-1200 lb. cows with 100-300 lb. calves $590-740 per pair, aged 800-900 lb. cows with 100-300 lb. calves $520-560. |
