Lambs Trade Higher

GOLDTHWAITE —(March 19)— Feeder lambs sold $3-5 higher, slaughter lambs fully steady, slaughter ewes $2-3 higher; slaughter Angora muttons and billies $6 higher; slaughter Spanish kids $4-6 lower, other slaughter goats $1-3 higher, stock nannies steady. Receipts totaled 4800 head.

Sheep: medium and large No. 1 oldcrop lambs 85-110 lbs. $69.50-77.50, newcrop 40-45 lbs. $100-117, 50-70 lbs. $86-98, 75-105 lbs. $80-91; medium and large 1-2 solidmouth stock ewes 100-115 lbs. $53-56; choice and prime 2-3 slaughter lambs 115-155 lbs. $59.50-71, good 2-3 slaughter ewes $44-49.50, utility 2-3 $36-41, cull $27-32; Barbado lambs 45-65 lbs. $63-71 cwt.

Angora goats: slaughter muttons and billies 85-140 lbs. $50-56 cwt., fat nannies 75 lbs. $47, thin nannies and muttons 32-40.

Spanish goats: choice and prime slaughter kids 15-35 lbs. $75-81 cwt., 35-65 lbs. $78-87, good $60-73, fat nannies 75-120 lbs. $48-60, thin $37-42, muttons 75-145 lbs. $55-81, billies 80-165 lbs. $65-78; nannies 50-70 lbs. $58-63 cwt., nannies with kids $18-29 each, Boer cross kids $40-70 per head, nannies $90-180.
