Oklahoma for current delivery five loads of No. 1 Okie
and crossbred steers weighing 725 pounds at $69.50; in
the Texas Panhandle for January delivery seven loads of
similar heifers to weigh 675 pounds at $3.50 back of the
January futures board.
Ty Jones Cattle Co., Canyon, bought in
Central Texas 200 No. 1-1½ English and exotic cross
steers weighing 775 pounds at $68; in New Mexico 330
English and exotic heifers weighing 725 at $65.
Buel Little III, Seguin, sold for Oct. 1-15 delivery
1000 No. 1½ crossbred Mexican steers to weigh 675 pounds
at $69, also 1500 No. 1½-2 Mexican steers to weigh 650
at $68.
USDA reports 5600 head of feeder cattle selling direct
off Oklahoma range, including: for August delivery medium
and large No. 1 steers to weigh 750 pounds at
$71.25-71.50; for current delivery similar steers
weighing 700 at $70.50, also 750-775 pounds at $67-69,
800 pounds at $65.50-66.50, and 850-875 pounds at $63-64;
similar heifers weighing 700 at $64.50, 750 pounds at
$61.50-63, and 800 pounds at $60-60.50.
Direct feeder cattle trade in the Northwest as
confirmed by USDA totaled only 100 head of medium and
large No. 1 steers weighing 850 pounds at $66 f.o.b.
Idaho.
Montana direct feeder cattle sales reported by USDA
totaled 760 head. Medium and large No. 1 steers weighing
600 pounds brought $85 and similar heifers weighing
575-600 pounds brought $75-80, all f.o.b. prices for
current delivery.
