Feeder Steers Higher

ABILENE —(May 11)— Feeder steers weighing less than 500 pounds sold $1-3 higher, heavier steers and heifers steady except fleshy offerings $1 lower, slaughter cows and bulls steady, stock cows and pairs steady. Receipts totaled 1320 head.

Feeder steers: medium and large No. 1 200-300 lbs. $107-115, 300-400 lbs. $99-108, few 310 lbs. $114, 400-500 lbs. $82.50-90, 500-600 lbs. $75-85, 600-700 lbs. $68-74.50, 700-800 lbs. $63-67.50, 800-900 lbs. $59.50-63.50.

Feeder heifers: medium and large No. 1 300-400 lbs. $78-85.50, 400-500 lbs. $75-81, 500-600 lbs. $69-76.50, 600-700 lbs. $63-68, 700-800 lbs. $59-63.50, 800-900 lbs. $55-58.

Slaughter cows: breakers $33-36.50, boners $36-39, high dressing $39.50-41, lean 900-1200 lbs. $32-36, 750-900 lbs. $28.50-34, under 750 lbs. $25-30; yield grade 1-2 bulls 1300-2100 lbs. $45.50-48.50, high dressing $50-53.25, 1000-1300 lbs. $40.50-46.50.

Stock cows: medium and large No. 1 young 900-1150 lbs. 7-8 months bred $450-530 per head, aged 950-1150 lbs. 4-8 months bred $375-430; young 850-1200 lb. cows with 100-150 lb. calves $630-710 per pair, aged 1000-1300 lb. cows with 150-250 lb. calves $500-600.
