DODGE CITY, Kan. —(USDA)— Feeder steers sold steady to $2 lower in Kansas direct trade last week, heifers untested. The weather was cool with light to scattered showers in western Kansas and thunderstorms, hail and tornadoes in the central and eastern areas. Sales were confirmed on 6450 head. Feeder steers: medium and large No. 1 250-275 lbs. $99-102, 350-375 lbs. $95-98, 400-450 lbs. $80-85, 500-525 lbs. $76-80, 725-775 lbs. $68-72.50, 800-850 lbs. $65-66; 750-775 lbs. delivered $69-69.50, 800-825 lbs. $67.25-68.25; string 775 lbs. for May 15 delivery $70, small string 825 lbs. for May 20 $68. |
