Feeder lambs sold weak to $2 lower this week, slaughter lambs poorly tested and slaughter ewes generally steady, instances firm to $2 higher on good and choice. Receipts totaled 10,926 head. Around 2000 lambs sold on Wednesday’s teleauction, where weights of 70-85 pounds brought $81-81.75, 60-70 pounds $80.25. Delivery is June 28 to July 11.

Feeder steers and heifers sold steady, slaughter cows $2 lower, bulls steady. Receipts totaled 317 head.

Colorado City Sale Offers 849 Cattle
No price comparison is available due to a holiday the previous week. Receipts totaled 849 head.

Fredericksburg Feeder Steers, Heifers Higher
Feeder steers and heifers sold $2-3 higher, slaughter cows and bulls strong. Receipts totaled 858 head.

Graham Feeder Steers, Heifers Trend Higher
Feeder steers sold $1-2 higher, heifers $1-2 higher, spots $3 up, slaughter cows and bulls steady, stock cows steady to strong, pairs steady to $20 higher. Receipts totaled 1842 head.

Cuero Feeder Steers, Heifers Trade
Feeder steers sold $3-4 higher, heifers $2-4 higher, slaughter cows $2-3 higher. Receipts totaled 1311 head.

San Saba, Brownwood, Mason Feeders Higher
Feeder steers and heifers weighing less than 600 pounds sold steady to $2 higher last week in Mason, Brownwood and San Saba, heavier weights $2-6 higher, slaughter cows and bulls steady, pairs and bred cows steady to $25 higher. Receipts totaled 1445 at the three sales.

Junction Feeder Lambs Steady, Angoras Lower
Feeder lambs sold steady, slaughter ewes and bucks $3 higher; slaughter Angora goats $2-3 lower, stock Spanish nannies steady, slaughter classes $2-4 lower. Receipts totaled 4500 head.

Most Abilene Cattle Prices Termed Higher
Feeder steers sold $2-4 higher except 500-700 pounds mostly steady, heifers $2-4 higher, slaughter cows $2-3 higher, bulls steady. Receipts totaled 1190 head.

Milano Feeder Steer, Heifer Prices
Feeder steers and heifers sold $2-3 higher, slaughter cows steady to $1 lower, bulls steady. Receipts totaled 1049 head.

U.S. Meat Production 9.5% Below A Year Ago
Total red meat production under federal inspection last week was estimated at 759.8 million pounds, 12.6 percent less than a week earlier and 9.5 percent less than a year ago. Cumulative meat production for the year to date was up two percent at 19.27 billion pounds.

Feeder lambs sold steady, slaughter ewes steady, bucks $3 lower; slaughter Angora muttons $2 higher; stock Spanish nannies steady, slaughter kids and billies $2 lower, other slaughter goats steady to $2 higher. Receipts totaled 5000 head.

Kansas Direct Feeder Cattle Prices Higher
Feeder steers and heifers sold $1-3 higher in Kansas direct trade last week. The weather was mild with thunderstorms, rain amounts ranging from traces to four inches. Wheat in the south central part of the state is ripening fast. Sales were confirmed on 9863 head.
