Feeder lambs in Texas were generally on the lower side this week, though a few markets were close to steady. Midwest markets were steady on limited numbers. Slaughter lambs were about steady and slaughter ewes a little lower in Texas, steady in the Midwest markets.

Feeder steers weighing under 550 pounds sold $1-2 higher, 550-650 pounds steady to $2 lower, heavier weights fully steady, heifers steady to $2 higher, advance on 450 pounds and down, slaughter cows $1-1.50 higher, bulls $2 higher, stock cows and pairs $10-20 higher. Receipts totaled 2471 head.

Kansas Direct Feeder Steer Prices Higher
Feeder steers sold steady to $1 higher in Kansas direct trade last week. Weather was hot and windy with a few rain showers at night. Wheat harvest is about 75 percent complete in the western part of the state. Yields are still very good. Sales were confirmed on 10,834 head.

Abilene Feeder Steer, Heifer Prices
Feeder steers sold fully steady, heifers steady to strong, slaughter cows and bulls steady, stock cows $10-20 higher, pairs steady. Receipts totaled 1732 head.

Junction High-Dollar Cattle Termed Higher
The Junction High-Dollar show and sale saw feeder calves $2-3 higher, yearlings steady to $2 higher. Receipts totaled 652 head.

Lampasas Feeder Steer, Heifer Prices Higher
Feeder steers and heifers sold $1-2 higher, slaughter cows and bulls steady. Receipts totaled 717 head.

Junction Fat, Feeder Lamb Prices Steady
Feeder and slaughter lambs sold steady, slaughter ewes and bucks $2-5 higher; stock Angora nannies steady, slaughter Angoras $1 higher; stock Spanish nannies $2-4 higher, slaughter kids $2-4 higher, billies $1-3 lower, other slaughter goats steady. Receipts totaled 3500 head.

Llano Lightweight Feeder Cattle Up
Feeder steers under 500 pounds sold $3-5 higher, heifers $2-4 higher, heavier weights steady, slaughter cows and bulls $3-5 higher. Receipts totaled 652 head.

Cuero Cattle Prices Move In Higher Range
Feeder steers and heifers and slaughter cows and bulls sold higher. Receipts totaled 1946 head.

Most Fredericksburg Cattle Trade Higher
Feeder steers and heifers sold $2-4 higher, slaughter cows and bulls $1 higher. Receipts totaled 1402 head.

Milano Feeder Steer, Heifer Prices Firmer
Feeder steers sold steady to firm, heifers steady except 600-700 pounds $1-3 higher, slaughter cows and bulls $2-3 lower. Receipts totaled 934 head.

Most Colorado Cattle Prices Termed
Feeder steers and heifers sold $2-3 higher, slaughter cows steady, bulls $2 higher, young bred stock cows $25 higher, pairs $25-75 higher.
