SAN ANGELO — Feeder lambs sold firm to $1 higher this week, slaughter lambs poorly tested and slaughter ewes firm to $2 higher. Receipts totaled 13,046 head, around 40 percent slaughter ewes, 20 percent feeder lambs and 40 percent goats.

Feeder steers and heifers sold weak to $2 lower last week, slaughter cows firm to $2 higher, bulls $1-3 higher, stock cows and pairs weak in a light test. Receipts totaled 5700 head including 3568 calves at Mondays' special feeder calf sale.

Feeder lambs: medium and large 1-2 40-60 lbs. $79.50-85, 60-70 lbs. $77.50-84, 70-90 lbs. $75-80, few $82-84, 90-100 lbs. $76-79; medium and large No. 2 40-60 lbs. $70-79.50, 60-70 lbs. $68-77, 70-90 lbs. $68-75.

Slaughter lambs: choice 2-3 shorn and wooled 90-130 lbs. $78-80, set $81.50; good and choice 2-4 slaughter ewes $35-44, few $44-46, utility and good 1-3 $40-50, few $50-54, utility 1-2 $31-40, cull and utility 1-2 $22-30; bucks $35-44.

Goats: slaughter meat type billies 100-150 lbs. $75-110 per head, 150-180 lbs. $110-140; nannies 70-110 lbs. $40-51 cwt., thin 60-90 lbs. $29-40, choice and prime kids and yearlings 40-85 lbs. $73-77, few $80-83, choice 40-80 lbs. $63-75, good 40-80 lbs. $58-63; stock nannies 100-120 lbs. $55-65 cwt., set 140 lbs. $85 per head.
