Jimmy Mills of Del Rio is reported to have bought
around 25,000 lambs in that territory so far this season
for immediate to November delivery, at $15 to mostly $16,
though he sold some heavy mutton lambs last week at
$14.50 which he had bought on earlier contract.

Mexico's ban on slaughter ewes continues, and the
market slipped again this week by a couple of dollars.
Ewes going to packers out of the San Angelo auction
topped at about $19-20, the general run of fleshy ewes
$16-19, thin kinds $14-17. Some people continue to buy
ewes and hold them, speculating on a change for the
better.

adult hair at the door for around $1 net from growers who
want to sell upon delivery.
