ABILENE —(Sept. 14)— Feeder steers sold $1-3 higher, heifers $2-3 higher, slaughter cows steady to $1 higher, bulls mostly steady, stock cows $20-30 higher, pairs strong. Receipts totaled 1650 head.

Feeder steers: medium and large No. 1 200-300 lbs. $108-117, few $118-127.50, 300-400 lbs. $108-115, few $121, 400-500 lbs. $95-103, 500-600 lbs. $79-87, 600-700 lbs. $75-79.50, 700-800 lbs. $71.50-77.50, 800-900 lbs. $66.50-71.

Slaughter cows: breakers $31-36, boners $33.50-37, high dressing $37.50-39.50, lean 1000-1200 lbs. $32-36, 750-1000 lbs. $27-34, under 750 lbs. $25-30; yield grade 1-2 bulls 1300-2100 lbs. $44-51.50, 1000-1300 lbs. $40.50-46.50.

Stock cows: medium and large 1-2 young 1000-1250 lbs. 2-8 months bred $580-670 per head, aged 1000-1350 lbs. 6-8 months bred $470-570; medium and large 1-2 young 1050-1200 lb. cows with 100-250 lb. calves $610-700 per pair, aged 1000-1250 lb. cows with 100-200 lb. calves $570-790.
