weigh 750 pounds at $77; in Northeast Texas for October
130 No. 1 crossbred heifers to weigh 675 at $73.50; for
current delivery in the Texas Panhandle 260 No. 1 English
and exotic cross steers weighing 775 at $77.50, also 210
similar heifers weighing 725 at $74.
Ty Jones Cattle Co., Canyon, bought for October
delivery in New Mexico 525 No. 1-1½ Okie steers to weigh
675 pounds at $80, also 280 No. 1 heifers to weigh 700 at
$74; in West Texas 230 No. 1 and better steers to weigh
800 at $76.
USDA reports 4680 head of feeder cattle selling direct
off Oklahoma range, all for current delivery. Medium and
large No. 1 steers weighing 540 pounds brought $85, 600
pounds $83-86, 725-750 pounds $78-80, and 800-825 pounds
$75-76; similar heifers weighing 525-540 pounds were
$78-81, 600-675 pounds $75-77, 725 pounds $74.50-75, and
750 pounds $74; medium and large 1-2 steers weighing 550
pounds made $83.
Direct feeder cattle trade in the Northwest as
confirmed by USDA totaled 350 head. Medium and large No.
1 steers weighing 900-925 pounds brought $73.50, similar
heifers weighing 800-850 pounds $70.50, all f.o.b.
