J.E. White & Sons of Alpine sold 1524 fat wool lambs averaging 95 pounds at $18 in Fort Worth Monday through Bob Bramlett of Daggett-Keen Commission Company.

Herman Carter of Mid-West Feed Yards, San Angelo, bought two loads of mixed lambs from Rufus Foster of Sterling City at 15 cents a pound; thee delivered this week and weighed 87 pounds.

Pete Buske of Friona, Texas bought 250 mixed calves from O.C. Sykes, Ballinger, at $19 and $20; these were delivered September 18 and weighed 495 pounds.

Harry Carlisle, owner of the Bar H Ranch, Laverne, Oklahoma, recently contracted 600 head of Hereford and Angus calves to Lloyd Shelton of Clarendon, Texas, for October delivery at $18 and $20 respectively for Hereford heifer and steer calves, at $19 and $21 for Angus heifer and steer calves.

H.G. Beauchamp of Amarillo sold 100 heifer calves weighing about 330 pounds at $21 to Schroeter Grain Company of Dumas, Texas, for October 12 delivery.

Jack Dettle and Art Ross of Stratford, Texas, bought 90 heifer yearlings weighing about 700 pounds at $25.50 from Dwight Hester of Stratford for Oct. 1 delivery.

Joe L. Smith of Dalhart is reported to have bought 300 Santa Gertrudis heifer and steer calves expected to weigh about 400 pounds at $28 straight for Nov. 5 delivery from Bert Kincaid of Fort Stockton.

Owen Seamands and John Pittman of Hereford, Texas, sold 1600 good and choice steer yearlings expected to weigh 750 to 850 pounds at $26.25 to $27 depending on weight to Ed Hollenbeck of Dixon, Ill.

Ben Dechert, Junction, bought and received over the past week 9700 light lambs from various Junction area ranchers. Prices ranged from $16-16.50 for straight muttons to $18 for both whiteface and blackface straight mixed lambs. Weights averaged about 68 pounds. The lambs were delivered to Brady, Llano and Mason ranchers.

Lloyd Coake of Dodge City, Kan., sold 113 steer yearlings weighing 800-1000 pounds at $25 and $26 depending on weight to Smith & Stenth, Pratt, Kan., delivered Sept. 17.

George Cator, Nara Visa, N.M., sold 925 steer yearlings at $20, about 325 already delivered averaging 790 pounds and the balance expected to weigh near 850.

Hughes Cattle Co., Phoenix, bought 2000 steer yearlings expected to weigh about 700 pounds from the ORO's ranch near Prescott at $20 for Oct. 15 delivery; also 138 steers weighing near 800 pounds at $20.50 from John Hunt, Snowflake, Ariz.

Hamilton Ranch Co., Carrizo Springs, sold 350 mixed calves described as good to choice Hereford expected to weigh near 400 pounds at $20.50 and $22.50 to Ewing Halsell, San Antonio.

Friona Feedlots sold 300 good and choice steers weighing about 1060 pounds at $23.60 and 200 steers, mostly choice, weighing 1025 at $24.50.

Leon Low, Lamesa, sold off his ranch at Whiteface 800 Hereford and black baldface heifer and steer calves expected to weigh 425 pounds at $32 and $35.

Kermit Smith, Santa Rosa, N.M., sold 80 head of 8-10 year-old cows expected to weigh 1000 pounds at $17 for Nov. 1-15 delivery.

Dick Montgomery, Channing, bought 2960 heifer and steer calves expected to weigh about 360 pounds at $34.50 and $37.50 from Taylor Lawrence of Northwest Cattle Co., Phoenix. These were to be delivered off the TO Ranch, Raton, other ranches in the Wagon Mound, N.M. area and at Canadian, Texas.
